My Favorite Non-Fiction Books

Uncategorized

I feel like the majority of bookish blog posts I read are about fiction books, not that there’s anything wrong with fiction books, I actually really like fiction books, but there’s not too many good non-fiction book recommendations out there; so today I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite non-fiction books.

Kisses From Katie by Katie Davis Majors

This book is one of my all time favorites; the book is about Katie and her adventures in Africa and a good part of the story is about how she adopted her THIRTEEN kids. It’s a pretty heavy book though, so would not recommend for light bedtime reading or anything 😉

Daring to Hope by Katie Davis Majors

I loved the first book so of course I had to put the second one in, which is just as good.

Live Original by Sadie Robertson

I really like this book (and Sadie in general); I loved how down to earth she was and how she related each topic to things in her life without acting like she knew it all. She just came out with her second book, Live Fearless, and I can’t wait to read it.

Girl Rising by Tanya Lee Stone

This is the companion book to the movie called Girl Rising (which I have not seen but I really want to); it was really sad but inspiring and it definitely belongs on your must-read list. (I don’t own this book, that’s why there’s no picture)

Your Own Beautiful by Chealsea Crockett

After I bought this book, I realized it was geared toward younger girls ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I still really enjoyed it, I was more interested in the biography part than anything else; but overall it was a good book

Courage to Soar by Simone Biles or I Got This by Lauri Hernandez

These are both autobiographies of Olympic Medal winning gymnasts, and I really loved them both…and I know I’ve said this a millon times in this blog post, but it really was inspiring :)- (I don’t actually own Laurie Hernandez’s book, so that’s why only one is in the picture)

The Year of Cozy by Adrianna Adarme

Technically, this is a cookbook/craft book, but I thought I’d put it in here pretty much just because I like the pictures :P. I haven’t gotten to try any of the recipes yet, so if you try any, tell me how it goes :).

Happy reading!
