Summer Camp Essentials || tips

I don’t know about you, but summer is one of my favorite seasons (along with fall, winter  and spring :)- ) If you made me choose my favorite part of summer I would have to pick summer camp. You can’t go wrong with cheesy songs, late-night games, and sunsets over the lake. But knowing me, I ALWAYS forget something. And usually the one thing I really needed to bring.  So whether it’s your first time going or your 5th, here’s a list of essentials everyone needs to bring.

A hammock

Who doesn’t love swinging in the breeze?

A disposable camera

Even though they don’t take very good pictures, and you have to have them developed, it’s nice to have the memories 🙂

Chacos or Sport Sandals

Mine are actually Tevas because I find Chacos uncomfortable, but I still call them Chacos anyway out of habit ;). These are great because they have really good support so you can run in them and they’re waterproof. I got them here

Sunglasses

(for obvious reasons 😉 ) I always forget mine and end up squinting at everything. whoops.

Stationary

I always like to write people while I’m at camp so I DIYed these. I made the marble ones using this tutorial.

Shower caddy

This may seem like a weird one, but I always drop something while trying to carry all my stuff to the showers. Wet clothes are not fun. Get a shower caddy. 😉

Drawstring Bag

Its always nice to have something to carry all your stuff around in while you’re walking everywhere. I found this one for really cheap at Walmart.

Have fun!
